These books are gripping, intelligent, and well researched. I am looking forward to the next book about the medieval friar.

The series of books collectively known as medieval lives, is entertaining, imaginative and draw upon the academic and work experience of the author. The geographic and historical context of  the 13C bring the stories to life. I hope to see more of these books mixing fictional life stories, adventure, and history. I see that there is another book in the pipeline . Can't wait to read it.

The first three books in the Medieval lives series, Robehod, Shams and Blacwin are a revelation. Their lives  are interrelated in scenarios of war and peace. The stories are easy to read  and provide an interesting introduction to the real lives of 13C people.
